‘Town Clock’ is an unbuilt project from 2018 that extends off the archetype of town centres, acting as a highly visible urban marker with strategic placement, this public work defines the civil square it resides in.
Mimicking the traditional clock tower yet subverting its’ stereotype of bells and hands, ‘Town Clock’ marks the passage of time and seasonal change through a myriad of alternating colours and tones. The outermost shell of the tower displays perforated aluminium with its pattern conceived in collaboration with artist Reko Rennie.
