Pearl Beach House 5

A light weight construction based on two square plans responded to a tight budget and a holiday house program for a house in two parts. The primary volume seen here facing a lagoon, contains the living areas and kitchen above which is the main bedroom and en suite. A secondary volume, lockable for security and heating purposes fronts the street with 3 bedrooms and bathroom. The cedar cladding was applied like a panel with aluminium T sections framing the cladding at each corner. Deep loggias provide western sun shading.
