The modest Amenities Facility forms a built form ensemble of shade structure and community seating that frames and defines the forecourt to the park. The forecourt is the first of a series of terraces that opens up to the main park beyond.

The layout of both park and built form was in collaboration with the Landscape Architect JILA, based on a simple, strong diagram that creates a series of spaces that are visually and physically connected, but functionally also discreet. The main path is used as a strong connector between the new spaces and the remade station forecourt and entry. Discrete built elements, including coloured walls and seating elements mark the park entries, hold the edges and give the space clear legibility.

Technical issues in this design revolved around the need to meld existing levels into the new layout based on accommodating a range of users in a series of discrete terraces.
