Some recent snaps of the almost completed Alumni Park Upgrade at UNSW in collaboration with SMM.
The newly revitalised space includes the large central lawn and new “Alumni Walk”, which are framed by a series of Hammocks on striped poles to the south and an outdoor gym and seating on the north. To the west, terminating the long access of the green, is the new “Meeting Place” formed by a series of terraces and bleacher seating made of Darwin Stringybark. Thanks to the involvement of Daniele Hromek of Djinjama and Samantha Rich, we were able to weave in the work of the La Perouse Elders into the new Meeting Place. Their drawings writ large, are routed into the timber facing panels, forming a unifying and richly detailed elevation to the forecourt space.
